Kiwi Tramping

This image shows one of the unique details of the New Zealand landscape. There are many aspects of New Zealand that are distinctive to this island country. It can be a magical place, both serene and sublimely foreign at the same time. Its unique elements are a common source of artistic inspiration and this image is born of that spirit.

What Americans call hiking, Kiwi call tramping. Such excursions reveal an environment more lush than the typical North American hike. The brush growth is extensive and strongly resembles a movie set.
